Co- and Extra-Curricular Activities

The dashboards below explore how frequently sophomores at UNC Charlotte engage in co-curricular and extra-curricular activites and their satisfaction with such opportunities on campus. In 2016, 22% of respondents indicated they participated in University-sponsored co-curricular activities like student organizations and Greek Life at least once a week. About 70% of sophomores reported engaging in community service/ volunteer work at least once a year or more frequently. A majority of sophomores reported attending workshops, seminars and speakers outside of class, with 35% of students indicating they attended this type of event 1-2 times a year. Sophomores are generally satisfied with the opportunities to interact with people from diverse backgrounds and with the leadership opportunities on campus, but they are less satisfied with the weekend activities available on campus for students. More information about activities and recreational opportunities for students can be found on the Popp Martin Student Union website.
